|Norcatur was named by being located on the Norton Decatur County lines, giving it the name of Norcatur. At one point Norcatur was quite the town, hosting a theater, drug stores, general stores, hospital, hotel, banks, etc. It now has a population of 150. There is a bank, post office, service station, cafe, elevator, library, museum, local volunteer fire department, c convenience store, free movies and multiple other businesses in town. We also have fiber optic high-speed broadband internet in town giving the ability to work anywhere from home. Also with our fiber optic we have access to HD TV and cheaper phone rates. Our Library hosts a Hot Spot allowing for internet access anywhere in or outside of the building including the large community room. We are a small quiet community that offers affordable living with cheaper housing and utilities. We have good water and are only 20 minutes away from doctors, groceries, shopping, theaters, swimming pools, bowling alleys, golf courses, etc. in either direction, Norton to the east or Oberlin to the west.
